An upcoming series on my latest trip to the City of Lights, NYC, to be exact.

Portfolio :: Portraits

Late last year, I began thinking about my Photo Portfolio that I will turn in in May to the AP committee. Finally, later this summer, I decided my focus would be on Portraits...particularly those with lots of detail and character. They will mostly (if not all) be in black and white. I will need 12 Focus pictures and 12 Breadth pictures. If you feel so inclined, let me know in the comments what you think-y'all can help me figure out what the final product will be!

Thanksgiving in Daufuskie

Favorite holiday=Christmas.
Second Favorite=Thanksgiving.

After quite some time of not seeing some of the family sitting around the Thanksgiving table, it was wonderful to chat, catch-up, and see how much my little cousins have grown!

Wandering around the Island and hanging out with the fam

Sweetest little girl on the planet...Thanksgiving also happened to be her birthday!

The community Garden/Farm

 The Iron Fish

An everyday sunset there...not so everyday, I find it rather awe-inspiring...

The last image isn't really for photographic intrigue...it's really because I loved the last paragraph of the sign posted on the door of the Iron Fish. True in every sense :)

Not all those who wander are lost"

Oh, I've Missed You!

Hello there! I cannot believe how long it has been since my last post. Tears. In my absence, I have started AP Photography, traveled to New York City (where I swear there are more fabulous lights then I remembered), taken LOADS of portraits, applied to colleges, got accepted, and got really excited when Autumn started in Florida the day it hit 65 degrees. From the next time we meet on out (except for the upcoming NY series!), I'll probably be posting just possible AP Portfolio pictures...if you happen to think they are worthy of turning into the AP committee, who will ultimately judge all of my work and grade me on a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best), please let me know-I would love to have your input!

Here are some snapshots into my crazy senior year!

Pumpkin Patch Frolicking

Those two beauties in the Pumpkin Patch are my very best friends Sarah and Shannon, and the most magnificent Christian ladies I have ever met...we're already making plans for how and when we're going to meet up and have girl trips in college!

FARM ANIMALS

I'll just come out and say it. I have a new love for farm animals. Really, it's just cows and goats, the occasional pig...odd? Yes, I know. But seriously. They are so FUNNY and funny looking. I've begun to realize that as you take pictures, you get to know your subject. Be it a person, cow, or an inanimate object, you get to know their good side and every thing about how they look. In Daufuskie, I spent some time at the community farm. This is what I got out of it...did I mention these are also for my first Photo assignment? It's the 5 things project again!

The goats were rescued. How cute is that??
